Hi all,
Walt Corey (KZ1F) is back in the saddle! He has produced an alpha port of
convers to the OS/2 (with 32-bit TCP/IP version 2.0 sockets) environment.
I'm getting ready to run some pre-release tests but am puzzled by some of
the current server behavior.
1. What is the "preferred" client? I seem to remember that I used "ttylink"
to connect direct to the convers port.
2. Is the ttylink client so different from standard telnet that a telnet
client using VT100 emulation would not work?? If so how? Currently all
versions of telnet I have (a) don't get a CR during login, and (b) "go
blind" after login.... nothing else is displayed (except local echo of
commands).
Any guru who can impart true enlightenment will be "followed blindly" --

Yes there are some very good TCP/IP stacks available for windows.
We use netmanages's package here and if you remember awhile back
I modified JNOS (my jn108dfx stuff) so that the automated ftp
under their package would work with nos. NNTP, FTP and all other
services under Netmanage's package work fine with NOS.
BUT it costs money..... These guys want a free package!

Brian,
I know your attitude on free speech and I respect that but I for one
do not think that foul language is needed on this or any group or in
person to make a point. For me it is a matter of respect NOT moral,
besides the fact that I have no time to censor anything.

I've been playing around with a version or two of NOS, using PPP.
I just crashed the copy I was using and before I go to all the
effort to reconstruct, I thought I check with you folks to see
if anyone has a flavor they have tweeked and wouldn't mind making
your sources available.
Thanks.
